Friday Evening

I just talked to an exhausted Gordy. He and the family were back at the home of Bob Walther where they are staying, the had a pizza and they were about to sit down and watch some basketball (well at least Gordy was).

Their prayer requests are that Tim'sw vision would clear up, that his balance would get better and that his headache would get better. All of these things are normal side effects of the trauma to Tim's brain.

They are also asking for prayer for the pneumonia. It is not getting worse, but it is still a concern.

Here is something that Sandy wrote:

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!
All of you!!! As Tim's mom, I say that from the bottom of my heart. It has been one of the longest weeks ever but we have never doubted that God was in control. Your prayers have continued to lift us up and give us strength and encouragement. We are not sure of what the future holds but we know God is holding it and has our very best in mind. Tim has been a trooper! At one point when things were getting out of control and they were hurrying to get him back down for a CAT scan to see if there was another bleed, in all his pain, he looked up at me and said, "Keep remembering no matter what happens, God is still in control." Needless to say, I was in tears. (And the nurses had told me to try not to get too emotional so I would not upset Tim) Oh well, just could not follow orders that time.
Continue to pray as the headaches are just awful...to the point of double vision, which they said should go away. He has been very restless and not been able to sleep very well because of the pain. And here too we must trust.
Again, thank you all for your love and support. We Thank Our Wonderful God for all of you! I can't wait for Tim to read what all of you have shared.

Gordy wrote the following:

These have been, to say the least, some of the longest, and as it turns out, best days of our lives.

A very huge, BIGGIE SIZE, thank you to all who have been praying for our son Tim, and of course the biggest thanks and praise goes to our grace giving God.

Tim was taken out of ICU today. He has a huge headache and though we do not know the length of stay in the hospital, or if it will continue to be in Canada or the U.S., the prognosis is GREAT. We have received the best of care by the University of Alberta Hospital Staff, as well as our spiritual family in Edmonton. Sandy and I will share more later. Believe it when I say we have not even been able to read all of the blog responses yet as again these have been long days and short nights.

We Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

You ALL are constantly on our minds. I can honestly say this is the first time I am happy my kids are in Edmonton so they can be there with you. We will continue to pray. Though we cannot understand, it is as you say, the Lord is in control and HIs love for Tim and your family is more than all the earthly love so we know He will take care of you. We will pray for rest and peace for all and release of pain for Tim.

Gord, Sandy and kids....We are in constant prayer for all of you. I talked with mom today and she is (as all of us are) relieved that Tim is doing so well. My book club here in Federal Way and some Central Washington University students have been praying as well. I know God has a purpose in all of this you have been through...and I can't wait to see how Tim is going to use it for good. Take care of yourselves...we love you.

Way to hang in there you guys! The Lord is obviously giving you the strength. Does it feel like you are legless pigeons flying around in circles not being able to land? After all of the years of us chuckling over that crazy thought, I can imagine that's somewhat of how you must feel now. We are looking forward to seeing you all back home, especially Tim, when this is all over. The prayers for you are continuous on the home front. We love and miss you all.

PS. Good luck in trying to explain the pigeons to everyone across two countrys!

Sandy and Gordy,

How awesome that things are getting better for Tim. We know that your continued faith and trust in the Lord has been not only a source of hope for your family but an insipration to us all. You are all in our prayers and we are constantly checking on Tim's (and the familys) progress.

Tim and Bauslaugh family,
What a long rough road but Praise God for how he has been working and for protecting and healing Tim. Tim is constantly on my mind and in my prayers as are all of you guys. It was explained to me that the headache from the brain trauma is an unimaginable headache, I will be praying for peace as pain relief as Tim battles this. Hang in there Tim! Also it was such a joy for me to read the comment that Tim's nurse posted, what a blessing to have a nurse who loves the Lord.
I hope the family is getting some rest. We miss you back home. Tim I'm sending hugs. I cannot wait for you to read these and see what an amazing blessing you are to so many, and to see how God has been working. You are dearly loved brother!

Tim and family,
Praise Jesus that Tim is doing better. I continue to pray for healing in Jesus name and that Tim would also know how special he is to each of us!!
What a road. Sigh. So hard to understand these things but wow we do have an awesome God who genuinely cares for us.
I continue to pray for a clear mind and for the pneumonia to leave.
My mom, in Texas with my grandmother who's ill right now (with some of the same symptoms!) is praying for the family too and sends her love and thoughts.
Love you all,
Amber B.

The girls and I miss you all so much!! Wish we could be there with Lance to see Tim recovering. Lindsay and I are praying all the time for Tim and for the rest of the family up there. We pray that everything will be wrapped up soon so that Tim can move on from this and get back to regular life. I am sure that the hospital thing is getting pretty old! Lance says that there is a lot of laughter at this time, I know that life is getting back to normal when the Bauslaugh's are laughing. We are also praying that the headaches go away quickly.

Miss and love you all,

All of you are in our frequent prayers! May the Lord be with you and give Tim healing and all of you, His peace. The Lord bless you!I came across this poem to share with you:
I Lifted You in Prayer

I talked with God this morning
And lifted you in prayer.
I knew you were weighed down with
Much heartache, pain and care.

I knew you faced decisions
So hard for you to make,
I asked that God would guide you
And show you the road to take.

I asked for God to touch you
And take your pain away
Be it His will, or give you
Strength to endure each day.

He promised He will be there
To comfort and sustain.
He'll share your every burden,
And soothe your every pain.

Just give Him all your heartache,
You'll feel a peace inside
And such a joy in knowing
God's walking by your side.

His grace is all-sufficient,
Your trials He'll help you through
Cast all your care upon Him...
For He careth for you.
Beverly J.Anderson

May the Lord continue to lead and
bless all of you.
Love in Him,

We've been praying right from the first Friday night, when Thomas phoned us from Langley, B.C. all the way to where we were, Honolulu, Oahu, and with tears in his voice related what he knew. Now we, as well as our families in Canada and the US are praying for Tim. We're also asking God to allow him to still graduate at the end of this April. Through our tears we Know God will use this for good for His Kingdom, and can't wait to see how!! =)

Tim - Oh yeah, healing, healing, healing now! (Ask Lance or little Lindsay to explain that one) Praise God! We are so happy to see you getting better.. it has been a scary time for those who love you. We'll keep prayin for you and for that stinky headache. Love ya!
Gordie, Sandy, Lance, Debra and Brent - know we are praying for you too. I know Gordie is tired, but I am sure the rest of you are too. I mentioned to John last night that one blessing from this is that you are all together.. being there for Tim but also just getting some family time together. John said some pretty funny things are happening.. lots of laughter up at the hospital.. and that is happy! Know we love you!! Grubers
