Things are looking UP!

Gordy told me this morning that the word for the day is UP.

The pneumonia is clearing UP.

Tim is sitting UP.

They hope he will be UP-graded to a new room outside of the ICU today.

All of this is good news, but please keep praying for the recovery, the family, and a clear understanding of what really happened to Tim.

Hi to Tim's family from Josh's family

We immediately put Tim on our prayer chain at church (Parkland Baptist) in Spruce Grove. We love Tim and are continually placing him before God in prayer and are so encouraged to see God taking such care. We also hope and are praying that Tim is able to be at his grad cerimony with our son, Josh and we will see him there too. Tim, God has a plan for all of this and i know you will bring Him glory by it as you continue to let Him have His way in you. Love and prayers...Joe and Cathy Marchand

Someone posted a comment with the hymn "Praise God from whom all blessings flow" and it's been stuck in my head ever since! That's exactly how I think we all feel for you guys.
So encouraging to hear about answered prayer! Still praying for continued improvement and wisdom for the doctors as they try to figure out the problem. At least God knew the problem and how to fix it :).
May God continue to flood your family with His peace and comfort.

Hi, Gordon and Sandy,
I'm so glad to see Tim's on the way UP! You probably feel you've gone through several lifetimes in the last week. But it's pretty obvious you've not been alone! We really are His body; when one part hurts, the rest rallies around. What a merciful and awesome God.

I haven't seen any posts from the Oakbrook Office, but please know we've been praying, posted the need on our site, and have sent it out by e-mail.

Peace and wisdom and hope to all of you,
Melissa Krispense

That is so 'UP'-lifting to hear the great news of how well Tim is doing today. I was at work and called my mom on my break to see if there had been any updates today. When she started reading it, and the theme word was UP, this verse came to me:

Psalm 121
1 I lift UP my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The LORD watches over you—the LORD is your shade at you right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; 8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

I think this is so appropriate for the situation, and knowing that God doesn't sleep, he is watching over you all the time.

I can't wait for the next update!!! I am going to probably be checking my computer every hour, hoping there will be a new one.

I continue to pray for you and your family and doctors, and I will surely have my bible study lift you up in prayer tonight.

You Are Loved - Ryanna

Yes! So glad that things are looking UP! Being a fellow music lover, songs seem to always pop in my head in certain situations. The word "UP" brings to mind:

"I get down, He lifts me UP, I get down, He lifts me UP, I get down, "He lifts me UP, I get down......

....Everybody together now.....

Continuing to lift you UP, Tim. :)

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!
All of you!!! As Tim's mom, I say that from the bottom of my heart. It has been one of the longest weeks ever but we have never doubted that God was in control. Your prayers have continued to lift us up and give us strength and encouragement. We are not sure of what the future holds but we know God is holding it and has our very best in mind. Tim has been a trooper! At one point when things were getting out of control and they were hurrying to get him back down for a CAT scan to see if there was another bleed, in all his pain, he looked up at me and said, "Keep remembering no matter what happens, God is still in control." Needless to say, I was in tears. (And the nurses had told me to try not to get too emotional so I would not upset Tim) Oh well, just could not follow orders that time.
Continue to pray as the headaches are just the point of double vision, which they said should go away. He has been very restless and not been able to sleep very well because of the pain. And here too we must trust.
Again, thank you all for your love and support. We Thank Our Wonderful God for all of you! I can't wait for Tim to read what all of you have shared.

These have been, to say the least, some of the longest, and as it turns out, best days of our lives.

A very huge, BIGGIE SIZE, thank you to all who have been praying for our son Tim, and of course the biggest thanks and praise goes to our grace giving God.

Tim was taken out of ICU today. He has a huge headache and though we do not know the length of stay in the hospital, or if it will continue to be in Canada or the U.S., the prognosis is GREAT. We have received the best of care by the University of Alberta Hospital Staff, as well as our spiritual family in Edmonton. Sandy and I will share more later. Believe it when I say we have not even been able to read all of the blog responses yet as again these have been long days and short nights.

We Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Hey Tim,
Hahahaha...there are so many cheesy "UP" jokes on here and it makes me smile because only you could fully appreciate them. I'm so glad to hear about all this crazy progress! We missed you at SOP last night, but we definitely kept you in our prayers, and I think it's obvious that God is doing cool things right now in you. I can't wait to see you again and hear all your stories. Praise God for doing so much in one week though, hey? God bless.

Hey Bauslaugh Clan -- it is a privilege to join with so many in praying for Tim and all of you. Just wanted to share a poem that Eric's nephew wrote when he was going through a serious medical crisis:
We want Your blessings
We like Your promises
We seek unfailing peace
and prosperity's warm kisses.

We take Your blessings
We boast Your promise
We lose unfailing peace
In prosperity's cold kisses.

Lord, grant us blessings that take a toll
That cost, that hurt, that force
Our spirit's up through rotting soil
Into Your eternal sun and sky
Made brighter by the sorrow and pain
of blessings that take a toll.

We ask Your blessings
We trust Your promises
We know unfailing peace
In maturity's hard blisses.

Aaron experienced God's healing and we pray the same complete healing for Tim.

Dearly loved Bauslaugh Family,
The outpour of love, prayers, concern and encouragement is so evident as we read the comments from other people. On Monday, our hearts were so heavy but as we see God work in all of this we get to share in the joy and praise that now flows from the hearts of everyone who loves you all so much and have been on our knees in prayer. We all thank God in unison as we see His mercy and grace in all of this. We're sure you will have many "God stories" to share with us. Thank You, Lord, for the life of Tim Bauslaugh. Thank You for your loving provision for all the needs of the family during this storm in their lives. We love you all! Dana and Doris Copeland
P.S. We mailed a card for you to Tim's address.

Tim, it's so awesome to hear that you are doing better! It was merely a week ago when all this started and I just can’t help think about how far God has brought you in this time. What a powerful and rad God we serve! I can’t wait until you’re better, I have this great song stuck about “sandy, sandy beaches” and “ice cream on the wall” stuck in my head and I’m looking forward to hearing it again. We miss you like no other around here and are praying for you and your family.
